Staffordshire Bull Terrier Temperament

This is an affectionate and obedient dog breed, being well known for their reliability as a companion and family pet. Staffie’s have a cheerful appearance, a positive outlook on life and possess a fair amount of self-confidence.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier’s temperament means they are active and playful, often becoming rather animated in their enthusiasm, owners of these dogs describe them as goofy always wanting to be in the centre of attention.

Nicknamed the “Nanny Dog” in Olde England for their eagerness and ability to assume the role of a child’s nursemaid (though not a practice we would endorse these days) they are very good and affectionate with children, but may be too boisterous for toddlers.
