Sealyham Temperament

Personality and Breed Guide

Sealyham Terrier Temperament

In many ways a typical Terrier in that the Sealyham is strong willed with a mind of his own. They can be frustratingly stubborn during training requiring a determined owner with plenty of patience.

They retain a high hunting instinct and will chase just about anything if given half a chance, they can be scrappy with other dogs (even aggressive) and won't usually back down from a fight.

Having said that the Sealy is a very loyal breed and devoted to their owners,  A Sealyham Terrier’s temperament means they are generally friendly, even their aloofness with strangers, will fade quickly as they get to know them.
